Tell us more: Unfortunately due to a database errors and lack of technical support, our board crashed last January. We moved hosts quickly, and with the help of some very dedicated staff members, we were able to restore the forums back up. We had an e-mail list of all our members, and most came back. Some didn't, and that's because their e-mail addresses were invalid. Though we might not be the highest in statistics, CP is a place a lot of us call "home" and can discuss animals, and basically anything else we want to talk about. This past week one of our Assistant Administrators sent out a calendar to members who provided their addresses free of charge, and it uses pictures from the POTM (Pet of the Month) contests.

Why is your forum the best?: Our forum is the best, in our opinion, because it's one place we can all go. Wether it be to vent, to help others, to look at a picture if you need a pick-me-up, or just if you need someone to talk to. We like to consider our board proof that statistics aren't everything, and you can still have a good time even if numbers aren't sky high.

We would really appreciate any tips or anything to help us improve. Thanks :)

On the face of it it is one of the nicer forums I have seen. Stylish and elegant. And quick to load.

I like the colour choices (something for everyone) and some of the customisations are not just images for images sake but actually relate to what the site is about.

My main criticism would be of your use of the postbit layout instead of postbit_legacy. I find that the new layout breaks the continuity of the posts and leave me feeling restless. Some people have an option but I could not access the users options as you test account does not permit this to check.

Also I would change the User CP navbar to give more 1 click options (like here on vB.nl). See this post (http://www.vBulletin-Fans.com/showthread.php?t=6481&highlight=Navbar) to learn how to do it.

Thanks for the feedback :)
I will look at the link you gave me and see about adding it over the weekend when I get a spare moment. Yes, when we requested the skins, we made sure the images would match the topic and I'm quite pleased with the way things turned out. (Now "Test" user can use the User CP; I had selected the wrong custom group)

I was looking for a modification to add so users could choose their postbit, but unfortantely didn't see one. (If anyone knows where it can be found, I would appreciate it)

Thanks again,
Aaron

Thanks for the feedback :)Happy to help.

Yes your graphics people did a very nice job. Reminds me that I really need to do some more work on my skins and finish the ones I have in development.

If you would like to allow users to select their own postbit try this thread. (showthread.php?t=1437)

As this is all part of Floris' grand design I had better ask him to intervene as I don't want to start posting stuff that is suppose to be restricted. I don't think he would mind about this but...

Floris, can you help please?

You linked to the professional style customer area .. aaron doesn't have a pro style license so you can't give him those details :)

The public alternative is here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showpost.php?p=569294&postcount=5
