Don't know about the hits, but our homepage (Postnuke) has had over 4.85 million page views
vBulletin version: 3.5.4
Styles (default, 1 or more): 3 (one of those in testing) Our styles are simple, but we are planning a major redesign, reorganization of forums, addition of forums, etc to coincide with our upgrading to 3.6 when it is released. The Testing style is part of that and yes, I know my graphics abilities SUCK, but that's why we've brought in some folks who ARE good to clean it up. None of the styles are original, but have been modified to fit our color schemes.
Board won awards? None. Never submitted for one before

Tell us more: BB&B has been around since the internet became popular. The original creators moved it from a news site to delphiforums.com where we were the most active sports site in their network. Around 2000 we decided to go off delphiforums to a private site. We had numerous problems from hacks to hosts kicking us off because of the server load to server crashes and just about anything you can imagine! We've also had several forum changes from YaBB to phpBB2 to PNphpBB and now to vBulletin since 2002. Since going to vB, we haven't had any issues and our users LOVE to forum software.
As I mentioned, we are planning a major redesign and of the entire site. We will be getting rid of PostNuke for our front end and will be adding new features as well. We will also be rolling out a new site logo which can be seen in the Slick Blue Testing style. Look at the other submissions for a site logo in the Announcements forum.
Why is your forum the best?: Simply put, we are the best because of our members. They are loyal to our site, support what we do, and love Louisiana Tech with a passion. They have stepped up time and time again. Most college sports forums are just a place to gripe, moan, and complain. While we have that as well, we are UNIQUE! We are the ONLY college sports forum I am aware of that actually gives BACK to the university! Our members make up around 30-40% of all season ticket sales and a significant portion of the annual giving. We, as a website, have contributed well over $40,000 back to university directly. We provide 25 all sports season tickets to the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston, LA every year for orphans and troubled kids. If a specific athletic need is discovered, we step up and meet it. Coaches actually come to us personally to help with financial needs and have directed MANY of their players parents to our site and they are active, contributing members. We are a family of alumni and students with Louisiana Tech in common.
Our goal is to get casual fans and students involved in Bulldog Barks & Bytes. It has been proven time and time again that if they do, they will become better, more active fans who support the University through their attendance and giving (both to us AND direct to La Tech) which benefits the University and the student athletes.
