Well, it was nice and quiet and people were idle and chatting in private, and network bot was wondering if he was a boy or a girl. .. And then suddenly users joined, and I queried a friend of mine 'look, ips fanboys', and yay, after some ensisting questions from my site they finally told me that irc. ipszinetation.whatever .com chat channel # lobby has been posting a few times, our chat link.

So gradually more people joined and we had a fun chat. Of course, as expected, some little floods of repeating text and swearing and caps lock were handled by network.

The rest quickly learned to just chat and use chat what's it for .. to normally have a chat conversation.

Always fun to get people to check you out. It means you're known and important :p
(or lamed behind your back: and I am a nice person so I won't just assume that and give them the benefit of the doubt)

Later that Night:

[07:36] <+Cole> well...im back :)
[07:36] <!Floris> You're black
[07:36] <!Floris> ?
[07:36] <!Floris> oh
[07:36] <!Floris> back
[07:36] <!Floris> Sorry .. don't have my glasses on. Misread that.
[07:36] > lol
[07:36] <+Cole> lol
[07:36] > floris is drunk
[07:37] <+Chroder> lol

It was an inside joke. No racist comments were intended by any party. Just a mix up which seemed funny at the time.

Before people comment 'oh what a racist remark', let me explain before hand that asking someone over irc if they're black or white or whatever doesn't make one a racist. I read back as black and after talking to chroder for a long time I see him in my head as a white guy, for no apparant reason. So I got confused and asked.

Users who accuse me for being a racist can stfu.
